Thanks marta, and I truly hope you're right. I love this country and I don't want to be so unfortunate to witness the end of it in my lifetime. :(

Hi Linc:
Even if BHO wins this election, good may still come of it. A lot of Americans, Democrats, Republicans and Independents are feeling the wake-up call. Those that don't "don't have ears to hear." Even if the worst happens, we are still in God's hands, and we will work to do all we can to keep this country on track. It may be a long up-hill battle. But if he wins, I also think a lot of his 'worshippers' are going to have a rude awakening. The honeymoon will not last long. The media will start laying into him and he won't be able to take the criticism.

One thing that many are learning is that our freedoms and our way of life is not to be taken for granted. The whole socialism thing is really scaring and forcing them to open their eyes.

That said, I don't think he is going to win. McCain/Palin are going to pull it out.

Go over to the PUMA sites (NoQuarter, Hillbuzz) and that will cheer you up, I promise!

We have to hope our nation has not become so foregone a conclusion that the only thing let for us is judgment. It's ironic that those who see Obama as the messiah who will save them all may very well be responsible for the destruction of our country. Sad.

Yes, whoever winds up in office is in God's hands.

And at this point there is nothing any of us can do about it except vote.

The polls I've seen have Obama leading by a small percentage. Something tells me that even though you are right about the fact that this dude is evil and corrupt, there are seemingly even more of those who think otherwise, many of them the Democratic base, and almost all of them still soured by the 2000 election and (of course) the 2004 election outcomes.

Many of these folk feel justified in lying and cheating when it comes to getting what they want done. They turn the other cheek, because they think that it's OK to defraud and get away with lies and corruption as long as what they think is right, and they get what they want. Look at Martin Luther King, Jr. and the way he sought civil rights. Most of what he stood for was good. We should all be able to enjoy peaceful relations with one another and be treated equally as human beings, according to him. But then you look at people like Malcom X and Louis Farikkan (sp?) who believe that they should get what they want, by any means necessary. Including means of hate, violence and disillusionment.

*Shrug*

It's all still in God's hands, though.
