“Will I ever meet the girl of my dreams?”

Somebody actually paid $50 to get the answer to this question on Google Answers. Seriously.

Man, and I thought I was desperate. I would have only paid like 25 bucks, tops. :-D

It is sooo sad that someone would pay good money for a yes or no answer. There’s a 50% chance of getting it right anyhow! I would have given him an answer for less than half of that ridiculous price!
Good luck in your search and keep us all posted. (Is there any hope for any of us?!)

And I didn’t even have to pay for that answer! Score!

That’s truly amazing. And the answer–at least the guy got his $50 worth?? Or not… But the length and supposed depth of the reply might make it seem as such.

For $50 I would have expected a date offer from somebody, anybody claiming they were THE ONE for me, even if it turned out to be a dude. Yeah that would have been awkward, but at least it would have given me plenty of fodder for a new blog post. :-D

    Good point indeed.

However, the “somebody” responding to the post is not the person receiving the money. If, for instance, the poster offered $50 to the woman of his dreams, I’m sure he would have had multiple responses (yes, I specified woman for a reason, although it would be entertaining to see a man answer to the girl-of-my-dreams post). But, he offered no reward, only the vivid picture of being a substantially needy bachelor. No money, no score.

Something tells me I’d have to pony up a lot more than $50 to attract the girl of my dreams. :-D

But then again by definition she wouldn’t be attracted to my riches, so posting cash rewards probably wouldn’t get me anywhere.

Which means, I’m gonna have to offer the kind of things that actually matter, like unconditional love, respect, compassion…

    I am so screwed.

Good thinking. Perhaps if you were to offer the reward, you could then reply to each person who accepts that they are, in fact, NOT the girl of your dreams and do not, in fact, owe them the promised amount (in that they accepted the sum–perhaps you should make it high so as to attract more gold diggers) and in doing so, you could eliminate some of the possible 3 billion choices in the world. A small step, I admit, but perhaps one worth taking. ;)

Unconditional love, respect, and compassion–I haven’t heard a more noble comment from someone of the male species in a long time. It’s nice to hear those ideals still exist :) Comforting, no lie. :)

I could swear somebody made a reality show just out of this concept.

Yeah, but if they take the reality show I’ll (we’ll) sue them because it was our original idea. It says so. right there ^^^^ Where I wrote it… and you replied. So… boo-yah.

No, not usually doing anything on Saturdays.
Figured I’d answer even though you keed. Or not ;)
