i think u r hilarious! i thoroughly enjoyed reading ur blog today and am sad i didn’t discover it sooner. i’m a jason upton loving, non-political, but very frustrated with american Christianity, Christians. i love the way u describe stuff…so cool. so though i don’t agree with political reform as a way to make the world a better place, i respect your thoughts…i think it’s great when people have their own thoughts, lol…

one thing i’d like to add is that Jesus died on the cross to fulfill the law…therefore eye for eye, tooth for tooth, was already paid for. He fulfilled the law so we could love. i recognize that capitalism, socialism, and communism…though they may have some characteristics that reflect Christ, they are all anti-Christ in the sense that they are human government and not Christ’s Kingdom. i believe that if Christians spent more time sharing the gospel and being the physical Body of Christ on the earth, then issues like abortion and poverty would be moot. but Christ said that the poor would always be among us and i believe killing babies will also always be among us…the only perfect world is the one to come. if i allow Jesus to live through me, maybe through my life His Kingdom can come to those around me. we would do best to live as Jesus commanded…loving God with our everything and loving one another as Jesus loved us, making disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey, etc…

that being said, i look forward to reading more of your blogs. gonna search out the rest of your stuff. as far as people commenting on the words you are using…i dig it! i think we need fresh revelation about what it means to use filthy language, or to speak unlovingly…also, i hope u find one of those hateful, despicable, and vile women to wub you…cracks me up! i found this refreshing. This was the post I referred to in my other comment. Definitely the most politically astute (and gut-bustingly funny)piece of prose I’ve read in the last year. And I say that as a staunch, 3-point Calvinist snothead, who knows at least SIX words in Greek! HAHAHA!

I like what you are saying. Sometimes I think you are a little over the top on how you say it though. But, keep it up. I agree with everything you are saying. The Old Testament was given to us to understand God’s nature. He does not wink at murder and the killing of millions of babies. But he does tell us that some offenses are worthy of death.

All I can say is wow! and Jesus have mercy. While you were writing this blog, you shouldl’ve asked “What Would Jesus Do, or Say.” The Lord says that above all things we must love. Even our enemies. This is sad and I don’t understand why you are so upset. The Word says that Jesus is coming back soon, and that we should be rejoicing a patiently waiting for the day when he shall return. We need to understand that whatever happens on or before election day is in the Master’s hands. He knew and still knows the exact outcome even before McCain or Obama were even born. Nothing happens in our lives without God’s stamp on it. Be careful of the things that come out of your mouth, because out of the abundance of the heart does the mouth speak. I ask you Lord Jesus that you create in all of us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. In Jesus’ Holy and Precious name. AMEN!

@Veyd: That’s just stupid, even while God gave the commandment “Thou shalt not kill,” He still assigned the death penalty as punishment for breaking many of His laws.

There’s a difference between taking the life of someone who forfeited it by committing heinous crimes and taking the life of an innocent unborn baby that never had a chance to do anything right or wrong. If you can’t see the difference then you’re an idiot.

I consider support for the death penalty and opposition of abortion two diametrically opposing points of view and, thus, I would argue that McCain’s support of the death penalty should be just as egregious to any Pro-Life voter as Obama’s support of abortion. Murder is murder, and murder is wrong… even if you’re murdering murderers; God never said, “Thou shalt not kill, except when you think it’s ok.”
