Man Scott, that sucks. I’m glad you were able to get your server back afterwards though. As a suggestion you might want to post a notice of some sort on the home page (and the page that used to have the fake tax refund form) to let visitors know what happened.

As owner of 90sAndNow.com I apologize. My website was hacked last week and was hijacked to deliver the spam emails. Hopefully most were smart enough to realize that it was a scam. I took the server down until it was secured and have been monitoring the site to ensure that it doesn’t happen again.

I happen to like GMail over Yahoo! or MSN mail. Yahoo! mail is way slowwww, and MSN is just, well, Microsoft. And I do agree that there’s less spam coming in on GMail than on the other two.

Actually, I already use Gmail (yes I know, i can’t get away from them). This one came from my original email address that I’ve been using since 2000. Amazingly enough though I don’t get much spam there either, but this one stuck out a bit for obvious reasons.

Kate’s right. I get spam in my Gmail Inbox about one every 3 months.

Gmail, baby. Yeah, I hate sucking up to Google’s nipple, too, but the fact is that their web presence is so much bigger than the two of us that 98% of all spam is filtered out before we even see it.

OTOH, if you want to know a great spam filter that doesn’t suck off Google’s hind tit, let me know.
