Jingle bells, Britney smells,
Jamie laid an egg….
Yep, in what seems to be the beginnings of a Spears tradition, the 16 year old sister of Britney Spears now has one baking in the oven, the result of being the live-in girlfriend of some 19 year old dweeb she met… at church.
What was that about saying I should be going to church if I want to meet a virtuous, pious girl who could be my better half? Brilliant, F___ing “A” strategy there my man.

Now now Mr Adams, I know plenty of amazing, genuine, virtuous girls who go to church! Ok, they’re in Aus, but hey nothing’s absolutely perfect! Besides, I think the word “Spears” has more to do with where she is at than the word “church”! Some of us (infact a lot of us) who belong to ‘church’ are actually pretty ok. Least I think so!
Have a good Christmas my friend.
Rach.
I think I need to move. :-D
I know you’re right (I think), but when it comes to church, I have to rule out those too old for me (which already tends to narrow the pool down to 10 percent). Then rule out those who are too young, then those who are already married, and then if I can even manage to get that far, then I have to hope she’s not a wishy washy Christian, or someone who holds to bizarre theological beliefs that I find odious and annoying.
Who’s left after all that? Usually, if not always, no one. One time when I attended a huge Christian gathering, there were over 300-500 people there, and out of all of them only ONE was a single girl around my age. And of course she blew me off to hang out with some other guy. It broke my heart. The only consolation I got then was that the guy started hanging out with me instead once he saw how shallow she was.
The problem I’m seeing is that church demographics tend to crowd out those who are single. Everyone is usually married with children or are old enough to be my grandparents. There are Christian groups that are youth oriented, but they always irritate me. They’re more like social clubs than ministries. Oh well.
Merry Christmas to you as well, dear. :)
Isn’t it sad that SHE is a role-model for young girls? Just like Britney was a role-model for girls my age (when I was younger) … Sad.
Go to church Linc! ;)
Nein!
Ah, see therein lies our differing viewpoints on church – it’s all in the demographics! My church has a 37 year old senior pastor, and the majority of our congregation is aged 25-40. How much younger than you is no good??? Oh, I suppose I have no idea how old you actually are so if you’re …. say….. 57.6 we may have a problem. If you’re under the age of 21 we also may have a problem. Otherwise, when are you organising your visa?
Australia, you say?
I think I’ll go as soon as I can say “G’day!” in a convincing Australian accent.
Shows how much I know about pop culture. I didn’t even know Britney Spears had a sister before all this news started circulating in the media :-)
Does your church have fellowship like suppers, movie nights, etc? If so then there’s your chance to let the married women who are around your age know that you’re “looking”. They may have family or friends that don’t go to the same church. What about getting involved in a ministry outside of your church?
Wait a sec, how did this turn from Jamie Spears getting pregnant into finding Lincoln a woman? Or is it always that we’re trying to find you a woman Lincoln?
Somehow, every topic I start here always winds up that way. It’s a running theme. :-D
Ha…Brittney and Jamie Lynn: Our kids role models…what the heck is this world coming to?
**Em
I feel sorry for her and for her sister Britney, and it’s unfortunate that so much of their lives gets picked up and smeared by the msm. But maybe things will be different for Jamie and she won’t follow in all the same steps of her older sister. We can only hope, at least.
