Settled in, and ready to roll

Finally got my car back after a harrowing 8 hours of walking around in unusually hot weather, and now I’m safe and snug at my hotel somewhere in Lake George, New York. Now with my car maintenance out of the way, I can finally move forward and begin expanding my traveling budget, which is largely funded by my blogging income. Today’s experiment in mobile blogging seemed to work out pretty well too. I was able to post Twitter alerts every time I found a geocache, chatted with a few people on IM, emailed an advertiser of mine, and wirelessly uploaded photos from my Canon camera to my laptop and other networks, all while I was out in the “field.” I was also able to maintain an active wifi connection on my cell phone for my iPod virtually all day, using my MacBook and a small battery charger to keep it going. This is starting to be fun. :-D

And just to add to the funsies, I found out the drive-in theatre in town is now open! To this day I have NEVER been to a drive-in theatre, yet it was always something I wanted to experience. While I’ll still be spending most of the day geocaching tomorrow, once the night begins, I will have a long awaited rendezvous with a jumbotron sized Iron Man. I can’t wait!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go collapse into bed now.
