I checked my stats for last month and I only blogged two posts for the entire month of May. TWO posts.
Yeah, I probably should blog more frequently than that if I’m to get more traffic and achieve my dream of being a full time blogger who lives off the love and affection of his adoring audience. :-D
Part of the reason for the lack of posts is that I simply had no energy to blog. And when I did have some energy, anything I wrote felt too silly or boring that I doubted anyone would have any interest in reading it, especially since I tend to rehash a lot of the same topics. Writing is the one thing I think I can be good at, so when it doesn’t seem to flow freely from my mind to the screen I get so depressed sometimes. I hate being in a funk like this. I’m hoping June will be better blogwise, and maybe from now on I’ll just publish whatever happens to be on my mind, even if they’re like the worst content I’ve ever put to paper in the history of the universe.
So even if my blogging does take a serious dive in quality for the month of June, what’s the worst that could happen, really?

well your already halfway to have blogged more than the month of may, so that’s a start… and even if you’re not writing anything that seems meaningful or of quality to you, it might to someone else….
Be careful what you ask for???? What did you say you were a magnet FOR???? hhhhmmmmm Maybe you best not be begging for your muse just yet never know what you might attract.
Hey! The quality around here better pick up quick! ;)
One thing you need to keep in mind is, who cares what others think. Write what you like. If you feel silly one day, fine. Post it anyway. So what if you rehash things. You are just like every lefty blogger out there! ;)
For an example from my own blog, check here. No redeeming qualities whatsoever, just me being silly one day. I still got comments on it though. So, you never know, what you think people might not be interested in, they could very well like.
Sounds like a threat, DMR!
Them’s fah-tin’ words. Look out, Lincy!
I know how that feels. I have been working on the same blog entry for the past two weeks…I keep running into a block. I have to force myself to keep writing, otherwise I lose it altogether.
@lisajean: True, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
@Judy: It’s a small sacrifice to pay if it means mo’ money for me in the long run. ;)
@TJSharky: That entry didn’t seem silly to me at all. :-D You’re right though, I have to stop approaching blogging with the mindset that anything I write is gonna seem stupid or silly.
@DMR, beej: My audience can be so demanding sometimes.
@Sabrina: I think part of it is also not having some kind of routine and sticking to it. If I get an idea I’m usually not in a position where I could start writing (I’d be at work or driving) but it helps to jot down a quick outline, and then when I have time write it out later. Usually that’s when I get home from work, but by that time I’m so exhausted that I just blow it off. The mornings aren’t much better either because I always get up too late and end up scrambling to get to work. Oy.
Hm. Maybe a digital recorder is in order. ;-)
I’d use one but I hate the sound of my girlie voice.
Hehe. I am guilty of the same excuse. I am often accused of having a girly voice when I should have a “womanly” voice. Ha!
Girly or womanly, they’re both sexy in their own right.
I have a feeling you would take back that statement if you actually heard my voice. :-D
Meh, I bet I’d still <3 it. Women around me have so much mannishness to them that I come to appreciate girlieness in all its forms. :-D
