Damn! Foreigner AND cookies! And 65 degree weather here in NY? Could I ask for anything better?!? Well, maybe some Twisted Sister or Poison, instead of Foreigner. But if it's '80s, I'll take it.

Thank you, ConsrvYank.

You have been through a lot more than many of us here, Sir, and I praise God that you chose to listen to Him. Your experience truly reminds me of Romans 8:28. Our best life isn't now, but in heaven with our Lord.

God bless, and Shalom!

Linc, I'm not a religious person at all, so take your religious comfort from some of the other folks who commented here. But I will tell you this. I hate hate hate hate when "the bad guys win." I'm talking about the stupid pig headed jocks who get the cheerleaders by squashing the nice guys. Or the total tool at work who blows off his responsibilities, leaving you to pick up his slack and yet HE gets the credit and promotions and you get nothing.

It's part of life. It happens. But I honestly do feel that things always work out for the best in the end. The road to get there may suck big ones and go in really odd directions... but in the end, it'll work out. I'm a believer in kharma and while I don't know you too well, you're a funny guy and seem to be a pretty nice guy too (don't let it get to your head), so just keep thinking positive, doing the right thing and having fun. And crank up some '80s tunes, 'cause there's nothing like Foreigner to get you back on track.

Thanks Franklin!

@ConsrvYank: Thanks for sharing that, it helps me realize no matter how bad I have it sometimes, there are always others who have gone through far worse. It reminds me of the saying, "I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet."

I need to reminder that. :)
Linc, my brother, you know that out of that human race that seeks to spite you that there are people who love you -- like the many who comment here, including me.

Don't feel too bad -- whatever we have here is but temporal and will all pass one day. You can't bring success and riches with you to the grave, but you can have more than what worldly riches and success can compare against -- eternal life in Christ Jesus. That to me is worth more than anything else in the world!

I am not as successful as many of my peers -- a fact that gnawed on me often in my younger years, but when I see what they've given up, I don't desire what they have. Nothing benefits a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul. :)

Have a lovely Easter, Linc.

Shalom, and the LORD bless and keep you.
That was lovely Isaiah. I like you.

See Linc, there are many who love you, probably more than you realize. I will share something here with you and all the good people here. Back in 1977, when I lost my only son in a car accident, I too thought my life was over. While it brought me to my knees as nothing else could, I am glad I did not do what I really wanted to do. Otherwise I would never have known my grandsons born decades later. While I will never stop grieving for my boy, I know that the worst thing in God’s eyes is to end your own life. It’s like saying we have no faith in him. And I know that one day I will be rewarded and be with him forever in the next phase. You too will be rewarded for you goodness Linc.
Life is really hard for some of us, and the only thing we can do is put one foot in front of the other and continue living till God calls us home.
