I ‘Stumbled’ to your blog. I really like it. Good job. You write a lot like I do - honest with a little humor in there for good measure. I am a writer, so I let loose on my blog. I have a few, actually, floating around cyber space. I just wanted to drop a line and let you know that someone out here feels the same way you do about the horrors of trying to find that special someone. I look forward to reading more.

Oh- thanks for getting this song stuck in my head :)

Glad you like it, sorry about the song by the way, but I figured better Chicago than Safety Dance. :naughty:

Dear Mr. Lincoln,
Thanks so much for informing us about the Aaron Smith/Sharon Cresler scam.
We are two menopausal women looking for the cure when we stumbled upon the “menopause defeated 5 day cure” website. Before purchasing we did our due diligence and found your site. You are completely awesome! Keep busting these scumbags! You just saved us 25.00 and we ended up downloading the information for FREE. And it was not anything new and very amateurish.

Thanks
Johanna Lucia

Hey Linc:

I *accidently* found your blog in my early-morning-political-feeding-
frenzy. Love the way you write and how you think! Totally real and
totally cool! Keep up the good work, I will be stopping by often!

This is interesting because Lincoln Adams is my real name. I can understand why you’d want to use it though (it’s pretty much the coolest name this side of Emporia.) I was just searching my name on Google when I stumbled on this, maybe I’ll do a little reading while I’m here… maybe.

You know… You speak with lots of conviction. But let me ask you - you do a lot of talking about how crazy some of the more activist christians are. But I want to know what in the world YOU are doing that backs up what you believe needs to happen in the Church today. Because you know what? You’re last blog post pissed me off. You were prrettty critical. And trust me, I’ve got my own critics. But I’m pretty interested to hear your response.

ps: I TOO get STRONGLY agitated by those who water Christianity down and also those who are all about the hooplah of the ideal emotional high that comes with the american christianity. So don’t think I’m somehow ticked because I’m one of them. But I’m also one who speaks out of humility and try my best to speak out of love. …?

However, you seem rather forthright. I enjoy this. So I’m actually giving you the time of day by actually commenting you. :)

@Sarah: Which blog post was that? I have a lot of posts that tends to provoke people into a homicidal rage. :ggrin:

I thought I was put on this Earth by the way to rage against the polluted Christian machina, while not lifting a finger to do anything about it. After all, I am but an insignificant speck of dust in the wind who cannot presume to have any notable impact on this world. ;-)

har har. Actually I stumbled upon this website looking for a particular sermon or something. It had to do with Lou Engle and Jason Upton. Though you had good points, I still think that unless you have the action to back up such pointed language, you should probably hush-hush and start DOING something. This however, is not insinuating that you do NOT do anything at all. This is merely stating that you must be some sort of insanely amazing servant-evangelist who is truly doing many things to prove that you can follow God with NO emotion whatsoever, since we’re being sarcastic and all.

Sarah wrote a comment on October 20, 2008 @ 10:15:pm

And ps: I am in no means, a “homicidal raging” person.

However, your way of writing, which I will point out comes off as rather arrogant and thoughtfully conceited, DOES tend to agitate an unbeknowing and rather INNOCENT passerbyer.

Heh. :D

Truth be told though I use this medium to voice my frustrations with the church, not really to win any converts. I don’t believe I could really persuade anyone of my beliefs, even if I was all snuggly and wubsy like.

Sarah wrote a comment on October 20, 2008 @ 10:42:pm

This is understandable. You seem a whole lot more down to earth with your responses… Which (though this probably means nothing to you at all) DOES win back some form of favor with the all knowing SARAH. ;) To be honest, I am myself, not innocent of voicing my frustrations about the church on my own blog. However, God has hit me with my own blogs right upside the head in line with the convictions I began to speak of. hehe. Needless to say, I do a whole lot more then I write these days. …. I do miss writing though, I’m not going to lie.

How did you download it for free? I was just about to push the “order” button, but it seemed “scammish” to me and then I found this blog which confirmed my suspicion … Was the info you downloaded helpful?
Thanks!
