A Mugshot Worth A Thousand Words

“Hey Linc, take a look at this.”

Mick showed me a mugshot of a twentysomething year old girl from a recent arrest report.

“How cow, she’s gorgeous!! Wow, look at that face, so gentle and sweet…” I sighed, and handed the photo back to him. “That’s somebody I know would keep me warm and loved at night. What was it, a DWI?”

“She tried to kill her boyfriend by poisoning his drink, then trashed his car.”

I looked at him and blinked for a few seconds.

“Oh.”

When I was working in the DA’s office, most of the crooks on rap sheets were ugly as sin. I guess that appearances can be deceiving, though…

Yeah most of them are about as decent looking as a city dump, but then again I’m no GQ model myself either. :-D
