In all my years on this planet, I don’t think I’ve ever kept a single New Year’s resolution. Doesn’t stop me from making them though. 
Still, there’s something about the coming year that makes me think I may be in for something different this time. The number 8 is said to symbolize new beginnings, and man, after this awful stretch I’ve been in since the turn of the millennium, a new beginning sounds just like what the doctor ordered.
Here’s what I hope I’ll be able to accomplish in 2008:
- Clear up my health problems and get strong again (vith ripplin’ mosscles to impress de vooomen.)
- Generate a stable income of at least $1250 a month via my blog.
- Get out of my dead end job and find a new career, whether it’s with another agency or by becoming self employed.
- Move somewhere else, either out of state, or to nowhere in particular, depending on how successful I am in earning a living off the Internet.
- Meet the girl of my dreams.
As you can see, I have very modest ambitions. 
Even though my basic goals of moving and finding a new job are the same, they may be realized in different ways. I might settle for simply finding another job (possibly with the feds) and moving to wherever that new job might be, but ultimately I would like to be self employed, and earn a living by blogging and perhaps doing affiliate marketing online. Doing so would allow me to fulfill what’s been a growing dream of mine: to travel and live from state to state as a working nomad, where the road would be my home. I’ve never felt at home here, and the thought of being tied down to one job in one location for x amount of years is about as appealing to me as doing time on Rikers Island.
Besides, I’ve always harbored the suspicion that my dream girl was never anybody local, and if I were to find her I needed the freedom of being able to travel and stay anywhere. 
So, will 2008 be THE year? Time will tell, but it’s looking more and more like my fate will ultimate hang on 2008. 
As for 2007, I bid good riddance to that crapola of a year.

Thanks, I started out the first day of 2008 by dropping my glass on the floor, after touching what I THOUGHT was a cold coffee pot. My glass smashed into a thousand pieces, but that’s supposed to be good luck though, right?

Hey dear…all the best of love and luck for this year. Also, I do wish you well for hagning on to your resolutions for this year. I stopped making them since last year since I never follow through with it anyway. The longest I’ve held on to a resolution is probably two months. They all fade back to what I used to when February rolls in.
Anyway, it’s great to stumble upon blogs like these every now and then. Give me a visit in my blog too if you get a chance.

To be honest, I don’t really consider them resolutions as much as I would consider them goals, something I hope to achieve in the near future, even if it’s not in 2008.

Dude, if you want to make some money out of your website, it’s probably a good idea NOT to annoy loads of teenagers? If they like Harry Potter, they like Harry Potter, leave them be. And why do you say Christian moron come into it? Is it only Christian HP fans you hate? There are so many other cultures that read HP too - do they have a go at each other? Er… no!
To make money, you have to have people liking your blog - hey, everyone’s sarcastic, but tone it down a little. Plus, Mein Kampf isn’t a load of crap - I wouldn’t advise following the idea’s in it, but from a Historical point of view, it tells us a lot about Hitler’s mind.
The only reason you closed that blog to comments was because you knew you were losing - well guess what? You kept the rest of your site open!

Those snot nosed teens and pathetic mommy’s might have made you a dollar or two, but, you could wind up losing everything you have for years to come if I decide to use the screen captures I made.
There are literally seven different law suits that could be filed against you for your posts, and attempted slander.
Just because you deleted them from view doesn’t mean they aren’t still on your hard drive, and mine. Plus the lovely screen captures are so clear and precise on what you tried to post from my name.
I’d be more worried about those snot nosed kids and pathetic mommy’s, who actually know how to string a sentence together without insults, than if you are going to impress some fictional female with your self preclaimed not in shape body.
As for the last comments you made, you seem to rely on thinking that we will get our feelings hurt just because you insult us? You couldn’t be more wrong. With the argument of HP fans taking things to the extreme, you are in grave danger of taking it to the other. For the Bible tells us to, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I haven’t insulted you or ridiculed you. I have stated an adult and rational opinion on the HP series and your original post.
I even quoted your original post in the posts you deleted. Please, for your sake, next time you decide to take a stand against something, read, watch, or at least do some research on the actual book, movie, etc. It will only help your argument, and make you look less like an extremist with no leg to stand on.

Oy vey, that’s got to be the silliest thing I’ve ever heard. No offense my dear, but I’d like to think I know a thing or two about the law.
BTW, I find it ironic that if you truly claim to be a Christian, then you would know that the Bible also expressly condemns the act of suing other Christians. Still, if you want to go through the expense of filing 7 lawsuits, be my guest, but the first question that’s going to be asked is, “Where’s the harm?” You would have to show how any such statement effectively harmed your reputation or standing in the community.
